Why do I do this?

People ask me this all the time and if I am honest I have asked myself this question when times are hard. The truth is, it is because of people. I realised a while ago that people make my world go around and one of the best things in life is putting a smile on someone’s face.

I will admit that I find myself pondering this question at times given how hard it is to create and run a business these days, especially compared to the easy life of working in the corporate world. Then I take a breath and remind myself that I am much happier now doing something I love than something simply to bring in a pay check.

I have also been in love with photography for over two decades now and love capturing the world through a lens, freezing that moment in time. For me, editing photos is therapeutic and almost mindful.

The other reason that drives me on each day is helping families capture those special moments. I know all too well from personal experience that those times flash by in the blink of an eye. One moment they are minutes old in your arms and the next they are starting their first day at school. It is a great feeling leaving a family with those magic moments there for them to look at each day.
